50th Anniversary JCI Ireland National Convention 2007

GENERAL INFORMATION

ENTRY INTO EVENTS

A JCI Ireland Convention Name Badge is required at all times to have access to the full range of National Convention events, meals and tours. For entry into the Maritime Festival of Colour Fancy Dress Buffet, the Music, Entertainment and Dancing, Business & Training Sessions, National Council, Alternate Delegates’ Tours, Senate Lunch, Delegates’ Reception, Presidential reception, Gala Golden Jubilee Banquet, elections, TOYP Awards luncheon, your NAME BADGE IS NEEDED at all times.

For entry into the Maritime Festival of Colour Buffet Dinner, the Gala Golden Jubilee Banquet, Senate Lunch, Senate Breakfast and TOYP Awards Luncheon your Name Badge and Function Ticket will be needed.

REGISTERING FOR BUSINESS & TRAINING SESSIONS

Entry into the two training sessions with Matt Hutcheon and Lindsey Fair is on a TICKET ONLY basis. Tickets can be collected at the registration Desk on a first come, first served basis. Only one ticket per delegate. No block bookings will be allowed. All ticket holders must be seated 10 minutes before each session starts. Ticket holders will lose their right to their seat if not present 5 minutes prior to the listed starting time. Vacant seats will be then offered to non ticket holders on a first come first served basis.

These codes, if shown to the bank, will allow a swift, safe bank transfer. Just make sure that you put your name with it so I know who it is from.

TRANSPORTATION

Cork Airport to Sheraton Fota Island Resort: A complimentary shuttle service will be provided from Cork Airport to the Convention Hotel. Due to the large size of the airport, look out for the JCI logo and the Convention Organising Committee (COC) in their orange ties and neck scarves in the Arrivals Hall after exiting the Baggage Hall. To facilitate effective planning, please advise your flight information in good time. This service is available Thursday 11th and Friday 12th only subject to availability.

Sheraton Fota Island Resort to Cork Airport: This service is available on Sunday 14th only. To avail of this complimentary service you need to register your pick up prior to noon on Saturday at the Registration Desk. Please plan to depart at least two hours before the planned departure of your flight.

Please be advised that the accommodation rate for Thursday and Sunday night of the convention weekend has been confirmed at a rate of 169 euro per room per night, bookable only through the COC team.

Also, if anyone has any requirements for a mobile hairdresser or babysitter, could they please let us know as soon as possible and we will forward them the details requested.

The Golf Pro shop are now taking bookings for the Convention weekend. If you wish to have a round of golf then please ring 00353 214883700 for further details.

The Sheraton Spa will also be taking bookings for the weekend and can be contacted by ringing 00353 214673000.
